Volunteers Needed

• Newgate Centre needs volunteers to help repair some of the merchandise that is received, most is in good condition but small repairs are required for some items.  They are offering a variety of items, most from large department stores in Canada and the USA.
• Community donations will require volunteers to help sort and store items for future auctions. In some circumstances a tax receipt may be issued.
• Consignments of quality merchandise are welcome and encouraged.
• Assistance at the auctions is very welcome
• Women who would like to mentor our participants in the program or who would like to share skills with them to introduce leisure time activities or other skills in the cooking and baking areas plus many other topics are encouraged to contact us.
• Speakers and women who will share their story of overcoming challenges and building a better future for themselves will be very welcome to join our group during the classroom sessions.
• Donations from the public are also needed.  We will not be able to operate without volunteers and support from the community.
• Donations of non perishable food items will always be welcome at the auction.  Elizabeth Fry operates a grocery assistance program feeding thousands every year. Over half are children.  Baby items always gratefully accepted.
• If public relations, awareness and promotions interest you, then talk to us about opportunities in this area.   
• Our biggest wish is for you to attend the auctions on a weekly basis.
